Smell your way through the city’s history

This walk works on your nose. We go through the eras of Cologne by what they smelled of: essential oils and essences, the streets of the Middle Ages, the food and drink people make here, and the Acqua di Colonia that turned the name of the city into a word for perfume.

Don't worry. We lead you by the nose in the nicest possible way, and we do it in the historic center.

You can add the scent museum of the Farina perfume house, which has been at work here since 1709, or a perfume workshop at 4711.
