The people who make things here

Walk with us through the studios of the people who design things in Cologne. The fashion scene here is livelier than its reputation, the goldsmiths still work by hand, and the accessory designers come up with pieces you won't have seen before.

Between visits we stop in shops and cafés in the Belgian Quarter, which leaves time to talk about what you've just looked at.

You can add a short guided visit to the Museum für Angewandte Kunst near the cathedral, where many original drawings for contemporary pieces are kept. The tour works particularly well when it ends with a small fashion show.
